Interfacing LeCroy oscilloscopes to a laptop computer or to a desktop that has no GPIB cards can be readily done using a USB-GPIB adapter, such as those made by Prologix and by National Instruments. Here we provide our code for doing this using two different software packages: EZGPIB and Matlab. In both cases the waveform that we retrieve from the oscilloscope as a binary file is read using a slightly modified version of a program that was posted on Matlab Central in 2006 - see http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange/2114.
