10th Anniversary of <http://marx.org/reference/archive/hegel/>Hegel-
by-HyperText

The 23rd October 2006 marks the 10th anniversary of the launching of
Hegel-by-HyperText, the authoritative English-language archive of the
works of Hegel, Marx's main inspiration and precursor in philosophy.

Hegel-by-HyperText began as
<http://home.mira.net/~andy/>Andy_Blunden's_home_page, and was moved
to the Marxists Internet Archive on 11th January, 2000. It was one of the
first attempts to archive an philosopher's entire body of work on the
internet. The first work uploaded was
<http://marx.org/reference/archive/hegel/sl_index.htm>The_Shorter_Logi
c, and included numerous hyperlinks to aid the novice user in understanding
Hegel. Andy Blunden copy typed the entire book, but a scanner was then
acquired and later works were trancribed using OCR.

The entire text of Hegel's most famous work, the

thanks to Jean McIntire of the Department of Philosophy at the University
of Idaho. The entire text of
<http://marx.org/reference/archive/hegel/hl_index.htm>Science_of_Logic
was scanned, including links to Lenin's annotations and underlining.
Likewise the full text of Hegel's
<http://marx.org/reference/archive/hegel/prindex.htm>Philosophy_of_Right
was added, these two being the most important works for most Marxists.

Among Hegel's early works which are included in whole or in part are

Hegel's introduction to the
