Does a justification of socialism have to depend on a certain model of human nature? Or is the very idea of 'justifying' socialism some kind of philosophical mistake? We invite papers on any of these topics, whether or not related to Marx's own views. Papers should be suitable for a 25 minute presentation, followed by 25 minutes of discussion. A panel for postgraduate paper givers may be organised. Please submit abstracts of up to 300 words by 10th February 2007 to a.e.chitty@sussex.ac.uk.
