I'll have to wait a while before I can comment on the following news
concerning the death of Lisa Rogers, a graduate anthropology student, a
sharp, critical Marxist, and a friend. I'm still stunned -- Hans: can you
say something more about Lisa? -- Jerry

Eric,
Just brought to my attention that this morning's Sl Trib has an
OBITUARY for Lisa. It says she died on the 15th "of a rare genetic" heart
defect. I'm stunned. I didn't know the nature of her health problems.
Last time I talked to her - sometime mid summer - I thought she had things
under control. Maybe she did and it was as much a shock to her family as
to the rest of us. ... -k.
