Dear Duncan;

Will you kindly send me a line or two on the poublication data of
David Gordon's "Fat and Mean" ?
I agree with you that the thesis is interesting but probably hard to
prove. We can imagin that the Japanese way of organizing small group
activity on the shopfloor often by formen's sextra work and costs would be a
way to economize the repression costs in a different way.

I am coming to the Rethinking Marxism Conference at Amherst at the
beginning of December. Are you not coming there?
