A minor correction to Jerry's 4836.
Lenin studied Hegel's _Science of Logic_ (and _Smaller Logic) in 1914-15, not
1917. But this only serves to strengthen Jerry's point that Lenin's "act
doesn't fit in well with the perspective of many anti-theoretical 'Marxist
activists' on the Net who claim that reading philosophical works is a
diversion from revolutionary practice," because Lenin was reorganizing his
thinking in the wake of the collapse of established Marxism and its
culpability in bringing on the World War.
