As an information, on determination of the rate of interest in contrast to
that of the reate of profit, our new book, M.Itoh and C.Lapavitsas,
Political Economy of Money and Finance (Macmillan and St.Martin's, 1999)
discusses in some detail. As we argued, the Classical Political Economy and
Marx's tradition must be distinguished from the neo-Classical approach on
this issue too.
