I have good and bad news from Tom Sekine. The bad news is that (as
explained below) he doesn't have time to join OPE-L now. Part of the good
news is that he wants to join our list when he has more time:

Well, I guess this is one of those cases where we have to take the bad
with the good news. Let me note, though, that if you are afraid of the
quantity of list mail then you have other options (e.g. you can receive
posts in "digest" version where you get one mega-post/week or you can read

PS: Diane Elson told me last week that she would like to join OPE-L later
this year when she has more time. I was surprised to hear that she is
working in New York City now where she is Special Advisor to the Executive
Director, United Nations Development Fund for Women.
