Subject: David Yaffe and the "velocitometer"
Just by chance I stumbled across this old thread while surfing the web. The
story of David Yaffe and the "velocitometer" featured in the Guardian about a
year ago was lifted from a satirical pamphlet called _When this Pub Closes_,
making fun of the British far left. The Guardian journalist didn't seem to
realise it was satirical. When the story was rehashed in last week's Guardian,
David Yaffe's "velocitometer" had disappeared from the story. Graham Fax. +44
