I would hope that this list could do more than become obsessed with inconsequential rumors like this. It would not matter if the footage had been created out of whole cloth. It was terrible judgement to replay that loop over and over. No one was asked a question, only the dancing was shown; we don't know exactly what was being celebrated or what the celebrators understood about the carnage; and the majority of those who celebrated seemed to be under 13 years of age. No diversity of opinion was sought in the immediate aftermath of the bombing, though PLO leaders were quoted later. It is true that we do not know who was behind this attack. But it is silly to deny that a taliban-pakistani-osama terrorist network does exist; after all, it was created with US money. The attacks may have its roots in an egyptian organization, the sudanese military or iraqi intelligence. Or it may have received backing from all of the above. much less likely was it further revenge for ruby ridge (the pathetic rallying cry for american white supremacists) or a sortie launched by colombian drug lords or someone else. chai-on, may i suggest that instead of spending too much time on this false criticism of cnn, a south korean like yourself may want to pay particular attention to whether pakistan is labelled a terrorist state and india brought on to decimate it.
