Yes, by all means. Indeed, several moths ago,
my dear friend (Michael Perelman) urged me to do so. I have been extremely
busy during the last two years, the extent of which has not subsided
yet! My work includes The Economics of the Oil Crisis (St. Martin's,
1985), in which I have originally developed Marxian Theories of Oil Rents, Oil
Crisis, and Globalization of the Oil Industry. I also extended those
theories to US foreign policy elsewhere. I have written extensively about
the 'Pax Americana' and its demise due to the forces of globalization, and
decline of US hegemony (ala Gramsci). Since
mid-1980s, I have been working on the notions of 'globalization,'
'technological change,' and 'skill formation' in capitalism. And labor
co-editor, Beyond Survival: Wage Labor in the Late Twentieth Century, M.E.
Sharpe, 1996). Finally, I am also specialized on Political Islam and Iran
(co-editor, Modern Capitalism and Islamic Ideology in Iran, Macmillan,
1992).
Best,

Dear Cyrus:
You have been recommended by several
listmembers for
membership in the OPE-L (Outline on Political
Economy)
Internet mailing list. We are a small, closed group of
Marxists who, as a collaborative group, have been
discussing
controversial issues in political economy, including
themes
related to "extending Marx", since September, 1995.
I will
send you separately a listing of all current and former
subscribers.
If you haven't seen it already, please take a
trip to our archives and you
will discover a wealth of
information on Marxian economics (and please
read our
archives policy which is noted on the archives
page):

Would
you like to join? If so, please respond to this
message and include
any information about yourself
(e.g. writings, where you work, research
interests, etc.)
that you would be willing to share with the list in
a
welcoming post to OPE-L that I will send (a list
tradition).
I
look forward to hearing from you.
In solidarity, Jerry
