A "Conference on the Global Economy and the National
State" is scheduled for January 9-10, 2003 in Hanoi. It
is sponsored by the journal _Nature, Society, and Thought_
in cooperation with the Ho Chi Minh National Political 
Academy. The conference is scheduled in conjunction
