a) LEEDS CONFERENCES Call for Participants

The International Network for Economic Method (INEM) Conference will be
held at the University of Leeds from 2-3 September 2003. INEM seeks to
promote links among economic methodologists, economists in all fields, and
scholars in cognate disciplines. Building on last year’s successful conference at
the University of Stirling, this year’s conference at the University of Leeds
brings together exciting new work in economic methodology from new and
established contributors, including Rojhat Berdan Avsar, Maurizio Caserta,
Vicky Chick, John Davis, Andy Denis, Jean Deflacelière, Sheila Dow, Paul
Downward, Bill Gerrard, Geoff Harcourt, Céline Jullien, Matthias Klaes, Edith
Kuiper, Tony Lawson, Paul Lewis, Andrew Mearman, Mark Peacock, Steve
Pratten, Julian Reiss, Alla Sheptun, Carine Staropoli and Jack Vromen. All
those interested in recent innovations and developments in the field of
economic methodology are encouraged to attend. Registration is from 1pm on
2nd Sept. Conference sessions start at 2pm, and there will be an evening meal.
The conference ends after lunch on 3rd September. The Annual History of
Economic Thought conference sessions then start at 2pm. Further details can

The Annual History of Economic Thought (HET) Conference will be held at
the University of Leeds from 3-5 September 2003. The Conference Venue is
Weetwood Hall, Conference Centre and Hotel. Information on Weetwood Hall

the full programme of the conference and an electronic copy of the booking form can

Please note that accommodation bookings prior to 11 August will get special
reduced rates. The cost of the conference including 2 (two) nights
accommodation, full board and conference dinner will be £240. The non-
residents rate is £94.
