Ranganayakamma's 3 vol set is published by SweetHome Publications,
Hyderabad 500 033 and costs something like $12. It is definitely worth
reading! I have the author's email address someone, she's first rate.

On Venezuela, since I've done research there and have a sister-in-law from
there, I can say without a shadow of a doubt that enormous racism against
Chavez is taking place in Venezuela by the wealthy and those trying to get
there. And Mike is absolutely correct to trash the U.S. press (with rare
exceptions) on Chavez. In any case, it is much easier to criticize Chavez
within the States than feel the reality of hope that the movement of which
he is a part is providing to the poor. Probably the only reason he has
been able to survive is the unique social origin of Venezuela's military
compared to the rest of Latin America.

A 'left' attempt to trash Chavez is a gift to U.S. imperialism (which
doesn't mean disagreements aren't encouraged). And, Rakesh, the 'strike'
-- well, it wasn't -- it was fundamentally a lockout.
