In the past, the International Journal of Political Economy (IJPE) was exclusively a translation journal that contained translations of scholarly work in the field of political economy from around the world. With its expanded mandate under a new editorship, the journal is now an international peer-reviewed journal that publishes scholarly research in all traditions of political economy. The journal welcomes individual contributions from a critical perspective, as well as suggestions for special thematic issues in all fields of political economy internationally.
