Marxists might do well to ponder the following question:
what are the implications of working-class families in Kansas
(and some other places)  who are suffering from job loss
and declining real wages increasingly turning to support 
the conservative political  agenda and reactionary political 
candidates?  E.g. what are the implications vis-a-vis the 
development of working-class consciousness -- both historically 
and during an economic crisis?
