Note that the schedule for "Marxism 2000" (a
"commie convention at UMass-Amherst" in the
"People's Democratic Republic of Taxxachusetts"!)
is included in the ensuing discussion.
"If you want to see where the commies are, look
at the nearest state university. Look first in the
economics dept., then sociology."
The solution, according to "stradivarius":
"The entire state university system should be shut
down immediately for a complete de-infestation
treatment."
It's too easy to laugh-off this stuff. With the changed
political environment in the US, it wouldn't at all
surprise me if a new initiative by the right-wing against
radical faculty takes place. A recent example: an
instructor at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College
was suspended for showing "Fahrenheit 911" to
her class a week before the election (AP story by
Paul Nowell dated 11/19/04).
