A take-off on Jon Stewart's "Hegel Myths and Legends", this site
has texts which attempt to identify, historically explain, and de-bunk
myths about Marx. Constructed by Rob Lucas and Andy Blunden.

This site (which began in late 2004) is still largely under construction.

"The idea is to invite scholars to write essays on individual Marx
legends." Texts by OPE-L members Chris A. and John H are included.
Other contributors include Cyril Smith, Paresh Chattopadhyay,
Harry Cleaver, Hal Draper, Francis Wheen, Z. A. Jordan, Maximillien
Rubel and Terrell Carver. There is a way for site readers to post a reply
(under "Critiques & Rejoinders") and there is a blog which "is intended to
be a relatively informal area for discussion and cataloguing of Marx
'myths' ...." which currently includes suggestions by, among others, Chris
Wright.

In solidarity, Jerry
