Dear friends,

My name is Michael Yates. I am a long-time labor educator, as well as a
writer. I am currently the Associate Editor of Monthly Review magazine
(for those unfamiliar with the magazine, go to <www.monthlyreview.org>).
We are starting a webzine in July and are now soliciting writers and
articles. I am in charge of a part of the site devoted to labor (In
Labor's Corner). We are interested in short pieces (500-1,000 words) on
any labor subject. Monthly Review is an independent socialist journal,
so naturally we are seeking pieces in general agreement with our radical
politics. We are not sectarian, and we are not affiliated with any party
or organization.

If you would like to write for us or have pieces to submit now, just
contact me at <mikedjyates@msn.com>. We have a lot of good people on
board from labor already, but we would like to have a lot more. And if
you want to write about a subject other than labor, let me know that too.
If you have crative pieces (poems, stories), I'd love to see them too.
Our first deadline is June 15.

Solidarity,

Michael Yates
