_Herr Vogt_ is online in German at:

Andy Blunden remarked in his introduction to the marx myths
site that this is the "only significant work by Marx which has
not been transcribed by the Marxists Internet Archive".
(Perhaps there are copyright issues?)

Lenin described this book as a struggle to "repel the most
savage and monstrous personal attacks" hurled at Marx by
Vogt. I guess he had to write this -- after all, one could hardly
expect him to remain silent while he was being libeled
-- but it must have been a huge distraction. There were, after
all, so many other activities which he could have engaged in
during this 11 month period of 1860. The political and historical
context of _Herr Vogt_ is discussed in Ch. 7 of Riazanov's
biography of Marx and Engels: http://www.workers.org/cm/ch06.html

In solidarity, Jerry
