What are some examples of where time _itself_ is bought and sold?

If you are referring to the employment contract between capitalists
and wage-workers, then what is being bought and sold is not time
itself.  Rather it constitutes an agreement that workers _work_ during
a particular period a time (i.e. they are at the command of capital
during working hours).  To refer to "labor time" as if it was just a
dimension of time misses this point and misses the point about time
_itself_ being a dimension.

Those who are self-employed, also, do not really sell time as such.
Rather, if they are selling a labor service, they make an agreement to
labor in some concrete form during a particular period of time in
exchange for money.
