Hi Jerry,

You are right: The whole incident showed very well How Class (Power) Works!
I am working with the "Program in Academic Freedom and Tenure" and with the
"American Civil Liberties Union" right now, to see what can be done.

In solidarity,

John

Hi John:

The list you attached is quite interesting and revealing: there are some
odd and obviously arbtrary exclusions (e.g. Jan Myrdal, Graham Green, Fawley
Mowat). More ominously, there is a _trend_ beginning in 2002 showing an
increasing _rate_ of exclusions -- a consequence of the War on Civil
Liberties which began in 2000 and accelerated in late 2001. An unintended
irony perhaps in your case is that your exclusion was an object lesson on
"How Class Works": especially, concerning the capitalist (and imperialist)
state.

PLEASE let us know if there is anything we can do to be of assistance.

In solidarity, Jerry
