What I am really looking for is a succinct statement about contemporary
bankers' capitalism as a whole that really hits the nail on the head.

Point is, with "financialization" the "common man" can no longer comprehend
the process, only its effects, i.e. that the rich somehow get richer and the
poor stay where they are", or get poorer.
