...............PLEASE FORWARD WIDELY....................

Dear friends and allies,

I am deeply sadened by the death of friend and comrade Brad Will of NYC
Indymedia. His death has shocked us all. Through good journalism, there
have been quick identification of the murderers and it is looking like
they were local police and politicians who killed him. But there is still
a lot of bad journalism out there, saying that this was a "shoot-out"
between protestors and police/politicians. And worse, Mexican President
FOX has sent more military and police to Oaxaca because of Brad's death.
The police are the people who killed Brad! More of them won't help! Please
tell FOX and the Mexican consulate closest to you to DO NOT SEND MORE
TROOPS! The APPO (Oaxacan People's Assembly) have reinforced their
barricade and are settling in for a difficult fight. Please join their
call that Governor Ruiz must go!!

FAX, EMAIL, CALL, PLease the memory of our friend, the journalist, the
teachers, the people of Oaxaca need us!!! Use the letter below or make it
your own...

in love and struggle,
jenny

NO MORE MILITARY OR POLICE IN OAXACA! GOVERNOR RUIZ MUST GO!

My friend Brad Will, New York City journalist, has been murdered.

As you already know, he was killed Friday while he was with the Mexican
People at the Santa Lucia Barricade.

Governor Ulises Ruiz Ortiz has refused to discuss the legitimate demands
of the teachers of Oaxaca. He has instead used violece: battons, gas, and
bullets.

Police and local polticians were the ones who killed Brad. They have been
identified by their faces through photos that journalists took on the
scene. These police were under the direct juridiction of the Governor of
the State of Oaxaca, Ulises Ruiz Ortiz.

Sending more military and police to Oaxaca does not help Brad Will, other
journalists, teachers, or the community of Oaxaca. As friends of Brad, we
demand that you send no more military or police to Oaxaca. They are the
problem, not the solution.

Ruiz is responsible for the death of Brad Will. Together with the people
of Oaxaca we demand the immediate removal of Governor Ruiz.

NO MAS POLICIA NI MILITARES!! SACA GOBERNADOR RUIZ!!!

Oaxaca, Ulises Ruiz Ortiz.

Mandando militares a Oaxaca no ayuda a Brad Will, a otros periodistas,
