Jurriaan: Not that it matters a whole lot, but Trotsky referred repeatedly and explicitly to "the subjective factor" in many of his writings, including "Perspectives on world development" (1924), _The Third International After Lenin_, _Permanent Revolution & Results and Prospects_, and his 1938 discussion on the transitional program.
