Hello Jerry!

Thank you very much for the reference to Huerta de Soto’s book. I already know his work and as a doctoral student I attended his seminar at “Rey Juan Carlos University”.

Unfortunately, Huerta de Soto is one of the contemporary Austrians defending the thesis of the Mises’ success in the economic calculation controversy, leaving out C&C’s work and avoiding confront contemporary Market Socialists like Alec Nove.

In the Spanish world economic calculation controversy has been neglected and Huerta de Soto’s book is nowadays the best Spanish scholarly work exhibiting the Austrian view.

I am conceiving my PhD dissertation partially as a contending work with that of Huerta de Soto. I already wrote an article criticizing Huerta de Soto, forthcoming at “Revista de Economía Institucional” http://www.economiainstitucional.com/eng/index.htm

Thank you very much for Strumilin’s references.

Best regards,
Alejandro Agafonow
