Hi Jurriaan:

Thanks.  Patrick B and our comrades in Brazil might be especially
interested to know that, according to the above map,  they allegedly live
in the socialist world!  The serious issue here is: what makes a society
socialist?  The map seems to have an *archist* bias. (NB: "an archist"
were deliberately written as two words. I am using "archist" here the way
Ursula le Guin used it in _The Dispossessed_.  btw, I'd be curious to know
that others on the list thought about this classic anarchist work of
science fiction.  I find it quite interesting because it isn't really in
either the utopian or disutopian tradition, although it is perhaps in a
romantic tradition in literature).
