I do not care about Ajit. I have not forgetten how he welcomed me on this list. He should have appologised at that time. I do not think that I owe Mike L an aplogy. He did not leave the list particularly because of Rakesh. He said there are other list which are more interesting. Look at his last post to the list. Apart from that I regard ML as a very close friend of mine. But if you think so that would be another reason to suspend somebody from the list. It is the age of internet dictatorship, isn't it? Who ever has the pasword can do what he/she likes. Whether this is ethical, whether it is scientific, this is another matter. See below. Do you think that it is appropriate for me to respond to Fred's ccount of off-list exchanges with my own account of the same? or that to happen, privaleged and confidential communications mong AC members and myself would have to be disclosed. I will say, however, that I believe I acted entirely properly nd that Fred's account of what happened is not the same as mine. In solidarity, Jerry PS: I still think you owe Mike L and Ajit an apology. You simply ignore the charges Fred makes. Why don't you reply? Nov. 2007, 17:07 Thema: Re: [OPE-L] statement by Fred I wish to thank Fred for the valuable service he has performed for the list over a period of years in his capacity as Advisory Committee member. He, and other AC members (including former member, Alfredo), performed a thankless but important job for the list which - as he indicated - took up a lot of his and our energy and time off-list.  I will not respond to the specific content of Fred's statement - even though I do not agree that it is in many respects factually correct - because it concerns off-list exchanges. I also will not respond further at this time in order to simply let Fred have his say - a right which he has earned.  In solidarity, Jerry = ________________________________________________________________________ Bei AOL gibt's jetzt kostenlos eMail für alle.
