Jerry, I did not say I agreed entirely with Cyril's vision, or with Marx's for that matter (in important respects their viewpoints are one-sided). But Marx does suggest "something" like that which Cyril claims, in his comments on James Mill, towards the end of his story. http://www.marxists.org/archive/marx/works/1844/james-mill/ As I mentioned before on OPE-L, not all the 1844 manuscripts by Marx which have been preserved are readily available in English (for example his book reviews). It is also possible that some manuscripts were purloined or deliberately destroyed. A complete edition of the 1844 manuscripts would have to include the material discovered and partly published by Riazanov, and the piece on James Mill.
