I just saw an interesting report on ABC News 
- "Oil Price Fallout: Jobs Coming Home?".

Basically, it claims that increasing oil prices have led 
to increasing shipping costs which has led to a 
recent trend of increasing production in the US for
the domestic market rather than 'outsourcing' 
production and shipping commodities back to the US. 
This 'contrary' ("Made in the USA") trend is still in its 
infancy but could be anticipated to become more 
pronounced as oil prices increase.
