We have to learn how to think Socialism in terms of heterogeneous institutions and coexistence with non-socialist institutions.
If some day we achieve the consensus to advance toward a complete socialist society, grate! But conservative, non-socialist fractions of current societies don’t have either a complete Capitalism.
In comparative terms conservatives/neo-liberals see their interests better fulfilled in Latin America, China, USA and UK, but our socialist goals have a better fulfilment in Scandinavia, Netherlands and maybe Canada.
The important thing is that we have to learn how to coexist with non-socialists while we work for the achievement of the required consensus.
It is a great work to think about pure models, but we have overcame the design of partial mechanisms that show to people the great advantage of advancing in this or that other direction.
Do you imagine a how instructive could be for people, to operate a partial trade circuit of labour valued goods within current mixed economies?
Maybe there is enough power among the progressive political parties in Scandinavia to do this.
