Have your heard the news! BBC just anounced that the British union UNITE and the US United Steelworkers have merged to form an internationl union. The leaders were on the BBC saying their ambition was to create a world union for workers in all countries including India and China. Derek Simpson said he was going to be meeting unions in India with a view to this next month. This is the best news I have heard in years.
