[OPE] Do we lack a theory of commons?

That this is not a technical necessity is illustrated by the standard for stationary PCs.”   The above observation of Anders is right, and made me wonder if there is a sound socialist theory of commons.   A sound theory of commons will revel the advantages of treating "charger types" as commons, i.e. infrastructure that facilitates at a higher level production and consumption in tune with social welfare.   It seems to be ironic but my repeated attempts to explain in this mailing list that I’m not advocating a totally commodified society and your repeated attempts to advocate total decomodification, revels that some socialist theories lack a theory of commons –including Market Socialism.   It is far from being evident that all goods in socialism will be commons. It they were, that mean that all goods will be openly accessible to all without restrictions. But they are not. In C&C’s model –the more slender planned socialism that I know– people have to give to the community their work to receive vouchers in return. These vouchers will ration their access to a varied kind of goods. So grate part of their consumption is private consumption, i.e. not commons.   Regards,A. Agafonow
