No, Alejandro, the point I was making was quite simple: rivalry is not a socialist
'goal' because it is inconsistent with other socialist goals and basic socialist ethics.
This was understood by one of its biggest advocates (Janos Kornai) to be a
problem which was experienced under the practice of 'market socialism' (the New
Economic Model in Hungary).
