James Hartfield - known for his unconventional and controversial Marxian
perspectives - offers his own (unconventional and controversial)
analysis of the causes of the current crisis in the *attached*. Far
from being caused by capitalist overaccumulation (he offers a short critique of
rising OCC and TRPF theories), it is a:

"crisis of green capitalism, a retreat from production. [....]
To put it another way, the current economic failure is not so much the outcome
of objective categories of the organic composition of capital. It is a failure of capitalist
subjectivity [....]
The Subjective retreat from production itself becomes an objective factor."
