I think the Left has yet to discover the form of effective political
organizations for the 21st century. How to maintain an effective mass
organization; that can allow a diversity of opinion but also coherent
policies; that can cooperate with other organizations on certain issues
but still pursue independent working-class politics?

Mike Macnair has recently written an interesting book on this issue

I am slightly more appealed by the general structure of the European
Left Party, but the issue of organization is still an 'open problem'.
