This is to let you know that I have posted two recent articles on the

They are:

1) General Perspectives on the Capitalist Development State and Class
Struggle in East Asia (2009,

a history of the rise of capitalism, socialism and Marxism in Japan,
China and Korea from 1868 to ca. 1930. This is the first chapter of
my work in progress on the Korean working class.

2) Great Game II: From Tallinn to Seoul and Tokyo, by Way of Kiev,
the Declining American Superpower Lashes Out on the Borders of Russia
and China (2008)

This text was posted on the Mute web site (UK) in the fall and has
been around the internet.

Both of these texts were written in 2008 but I refrained from posting
them until now given the urgency of world economic meltdown in
September and October, and the need to say something about that first.
