Actually, Paul Z, anti-Stalinists on the Left were, for the most part, very careful
about _which_ sources they accepted and they also had ways of verifying or
rejecting claims about the USSR reported in the bourgeois press since they
had Leftist sources (sometimes underground) which they could access. They
_certainly_ didn't _rely_ on the bourgeois press for info.
