"Attorney General Menachem Mazuz's decision, which was made after consultations with State Prosecutor Moshe Lador, makes clear that an indictment will be served against former president Moshe Katsav on charges of sex offenses, including rape, he allegedly committed against a number of workers. This offense is the most serious of all sex-related crimes in Israeli jurisprudence, and the maximum penalty in the event of conviction is 16 years in prison." http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/1069484.html
Compare this to the likes of Mr Bush, Mr Rumsfeld and Mr Cheney - do they get jailed for raping Iraq, a whole country, in violation of international law, and lying through the teeth about what happened? No. Do they even just get fined? No. Do they get ANY kind of punishment? No. Do they get any kind of trial? No.
Why? Because it opens up a whole political can of worms, and if you start indicting them, you have to start indicting a whole bunch of other people as well. The mud starts flying and flowing freely everywhere, and seeping through in all sorts of unexpected places. Hence Mr Obama's "re-set" idea where you just say "that was then, this is now".
So you see, compared to Israelis, the Americans keep quiet about the immoral enormity of their leaders' actions. What does it take to change that?
"Operation infinite justice" has yet to begin. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pQjxtqzQf40

Nobody loves you, when you're down and out
Nobody sees you, when you're on cloud nine
Everybody's hustlin' for a buck and a dime
I'll scratch your back, and you scratch mine
