Robert Zoellick (World Bank president) speaking in Georgetown has an
interesting turn of phrase:
"The flow of knowledge is no longer North to South, West to East, rich to
poor."

Given this flowing movement in the economist's compass (with the emphasis on
"mist"), he suggests "democratizing" development economics, as a sort of
"what do you think of it?" outreach. Not quite so radical as the
democratizations proposed by the German Left Party perhaps, but similar.
All that is lacking now, is an understanding of what democracy is about.
