If a message was sent off-list/privately to a member, then it should
only be brought to the attention of the list if you have reason to
believe that is what the person wants. As an alternative, if you
believe it concerns the list, you can make the list coordinator and/
or the AC aware of the matter. The reasons for this are many,
including a desire not to burden the list with unnecessary rhetoric
and a recognition that there are legitimate privacy/confidentiality
concerns since all of our postings are archived and available to
the public.
