That's what Marx says, but the only way it _makes sense_ is to
see capitalism as acting as if it were _a second nature_. Indeed,
this is the way most participants in the system see it. It's not
really natural, but it sure seems like a natural force that
no-one can control. Of course, this is one of the key aspects of
the ideological underpinnings of capitalism, the fetishism of
commodities.
