It now appears that *all* of the ope-l posts are archived! To get ope-l
posts from a particular day, first try sending a request to lis*proc with
the message INDEX OPE-L. That will give you the numbers for each day's
posts (the date does not appear, only sequential numbers).

Then, send a GET OPE-L [number] request to li*stproc. {Don't use the
brackets before and after the number of the archive you are requesting}.

I am enclosing a copy of a section of a message that Philip Chao sent me.

In OPE-L Solidarity,

Jerry

All the e-mail messages for your list are archived every day. To retrieve the
ARCHIVE MESSAGES OF A PARTICULAR DAY, send INDEX and GET requests to LISTPROC.

List subscribers are interested in the "past" of the list may retrieve old
e-mail messages through this way.

List subscribers' questions should be directed to List owners and/or by
sending HELP GET /HELP INDEX request to listproc for resolutions.

Archives older than 3 months will be removed from the listproc. If there is
any important message needs to be saved, each individual list owner has the
responsibility to save a copy of the message.
