A happy new year! I really wish to see a better year for the left in the
world as well as for political economists. Here are two requests; please
neglect them if they are not suitable to this OPEL communication system.
(1) A British book agent said that he saw my book, Political Economy for
Socialism among the Academic Books of the Year in a jouranl, Choice in the
late Autumn or early Winter 1995. I shall be grateful if anyone can somehow
confirm if this is true, or suggest how to confirm it.
(2) I am sorry but have been too busy to read all the OPEL discussions. But I
believe that at least a section, The Labour Thory of Value and Socialsm in
chapter 3 of the book above, and 6.1 Skilled Labour in the Value Thoery in my
Basic Thoery of Capitalism (1988) are deeply related to the issue of abstract
labor and the related arguments. I shall be pleased to come in and
reconsider if any comments are given to those works. Or is there any
reference that I have neglected? Please mention my name when comments are
related to my works, so that I do not miss them.
