Fred objects to Alan's corn model because he (Fred) says that it "does not
apply to Marx's theory," becauase the corn enters into its own production.

But what about Torrens's corn model, Fred? Marx did not object to Torrens'
data by saying that this own assumptions are different. He took Torrens'
own numbers and came up with wholly different answers.

Any adequate interpretation of Marx's value theory should be able to
replicate his results, in this case no less than others.
