This is just a note to say that I will be away for a week or so. I just
learned yesterday that my father died in Eugene, Oregon, and we are leaving
today. This is not a complete surprise - he had a deteriorating heart
condition - but it is still a shock. I wanted to respond to Andrew and
comment on others, but that will have to wait.
