I can't bite because of time, but I *very very strongly* agree
with Jerry's OPE-L:1353 and I hope someone else takes a bite
in his support.

Particularly:

*Mathematics *by definition* is an expression of formal logic. Are there
instances in which dialectical logic can not be expressed in
mathematical terms? If so, does that mean we formalize and linearize what we
are studying in order to produce mathematical "results" or do we accept
that some topics are more suited than others for expression in
mathematical terms?

I would make a slight distinction between the use of mathematical models,
however, and the use of numbers. I think Marx made extensive use of
numbers but very little use of models. Jolly good job too.
