What definition of accumulation are you using in this posting and how do
you response to the issues I raised about accumulation of capital?
Paul C
------
I take accumulation of capital to mean an increase in the mass of
value, measured in time, embodied in instruments of production,
work in hand, money and privately appropriated information.
I do not regard capital accumulation as being synonymous with
an expansion of the mode of production. The two often, but not
always coincide. Once a society has very little in the way of
a reserve of non capitalist producers, then accumulation can
become disconnected from an expansion of capitalist relations
of production.
