In response to the comment below.
One must not make the mistake of thinking that because something gives
rise to counter tendancies it is impossible. In the late 50s and mid 60s of
the 20th
century in some european economies the reserve army was negative - there
were more jobs on offer than unemployed workers. This certainly strengthened
labour in the class struggle but did not rule out accumulation. On the contrary
it was the high rate of accumulation that led to such overfull employment
in the first place.
