weight of the working class during this period? [This question and the
next also have relevance for Paul C's comments in #1750].

What *"does"* occur is the generalization of overtime working? Is there
some variable that you have not considered above? What are you assuming
about the ability of capital to carry out its will?

What is the "patriarchal mode of production"? Isn't patriarchy,
